My first face in Painter! Kind of mixed my layers up though ‘cause I kept using Photoshop shortcuts (which are different). Thank goodness I have my Wacom… this digital painting stuff is pretty neat.

Let me get this straight…

You’re sending me a 2D source/inspiration image looking at the object from the FRONT, but you want me to also draw it from the SIDE, BACK, and TOP?

  • Do I look like a magician to you? I guess that’s why I’m doing the drawing.
  • People/clients are cool, but sometimes they make me laugh. A lot.
  • Thank goodness I’m good at visualizing. And also for Google Image Search.

If he only knew...

  • Food Vendor: You should try our combo... it's the best deal!
  • Me (thinking): You're telling me?! I helped price it and everything else on that menu you're standing under.

Busy Day

Yesterday was celebrate Lunar New Year and meet-a-celebrity day at the elementary school. Here are some of the questions the little ones asked Sung:

  • Do you make movies in PG-13?
  • Have you seen Transformers? 1 and 2?
  • Have you ever met any other actors?
  • Do you make friends?
  • Did you make any movies on ABC? Channel 7?
  • Do you get texts during the movie?
  • How do you make fried ice cream?
  • Do you have a bar for adults in your restaurant?

This one’s my favorite:

Student: What kind of food do you have in your restaurant?
Actor: Asian fusion.
Student: Do you cook spaghetti?

They were so excited! Of course there was the usual: shoe-tying and listening to tattle tales and stories of teeth falling out. Books read: 2. Number of people who questioned my ethnicity: 1.

xoxo,
Miss Christine :)
